Stuff they won’t teach you at school
Check out our podcast
Our podcast explores militarism in Australia, and the inspiring and creative ways that people are fighting against it. Episode 7 is particularly relevant to high school students.
Organise a watch party
Shadow World is an excellent introduction to the way the global arms trade operates, and it’s on youtube! It is based on a book of the same name by Andrew Feinstein, who served as a member of Parliament in Nelson Mandela’s government – the first post-apartheid parliament in South Africa. Watch it on your own to educate yourself, or with friends and comrades to show them why it’s so bad to have the military industrial complex in our schools.

Read War is a Racket
Don’t worry, it’s real short – like fifteen pages, you could read it on the bus. Smedley Butler is one of the most highly decorated American soldiers in history and even he had no time for the war industry. It’s worth hearing what he has to say.
Say hi to our friends
Our friends at Teachers for Peace are fending off the weapons companies too – visit their website to send a letter to National Youth Science Forum telling them to boot Lockheed Martin as a sponsor
